Am I Ready For Deep Spiritual Work?
There's a particular kind of restlessness that brings people to this question. Not the restlessness of dissatisfaction — though that may be present too — but something more like a stirring. A sense that there is more available, more of yourself waiting to be known, and that the ways you've been tending to your inner life have brought you as far as they can.
If you're asking this question, something in you already knows the answer.
Here are some of the signs I see most often in the people who find their way to this work:
The thinking mind has reached its limit. You've read the books, listened to the podcasts, done the journaling. You understand yourself well at the level of thought. And yet the understanding hasn't translated into the shift you're longing for. That's not a failure; it's an invitation. Healing doesn't happen in the mind. It happens in the body, the energy field, the places words can only point toward.
You're in a turning point. A relationship, a career, a chapter of life is ending or changing. Grief is asking for your attention. Something old no longer fits and something new hasn't yet taken shape. These threshold moments are potent ground for deep work — the system is already in motion, already asking for healing and support.
You're longing for direct experience. Not more information about Spirit, but actual contact with it. Not more understanding of your patterns, but real freedom from them. There's a difference between knowing about your wholeness and inhabiting it, and you can feel that difference.
Something keeps calling you forward. You keep coming back to the same longing, the same sense that there's something more waiting for you. A richer way of moving through life. That persistent voice is worth trusting... in fact, it's part of what you're being called toward.
Deeper spiritual work isn't about being broken enough to need fixing. There is nothing to fix. There's actually nothing wrong with you. It's also not about being privileged enough to have access to Spirit. You have access. You are Spirit, embodied. It's about being awake enough to want more: more aliveness, more connection, more of yourself. It's for the person who is willing to stop managing their inner life from the outside and begin listening within.
